The insert is made of C2 grade carbide and allows high speed threading in most materials. The tool has a TiN coating for increased tool life. The Micro 100 16R763 is a 1/4" diameter, 3/4" overall length, 4 flute thread mill with a TiAlN coating. It has a right hand spiral flute direction and can cut 60 degree threads. The thread mill has a shank diameter of 3/8" and a reach of 5/8". It is made of solid carbide and can machine a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper alloys, plastics and composites. The 16R763 thread mill is designed for high performance threading applications.
